Nickel Alloy Instrumentation Valves consist mainly of high-quality nickel and mixed proportions of chromium, molybdenum, iron, and copper, depending on the particular alloy grade like Alloy 400, 600, or 625. The alloys have superior resistance against corrosion, especially in coastal and acidic environments. They have high tensile strength (up to 125 ksi), good elongation (30–45%), and stable operation at high temperatures mechanically. Their hardness is usually between 80 and 95 HRB. All these characteristics make them ideal for high-pressure and high-temperature usage in severe chemical and offshore conditions.
